For HS and travel-ball coaches · 10 lessons · Lessons 1–2 are free
This is the Indiana Baseball Hub course for baseball coaches who are short on time. Read a lesson before practice. Use it as a checklist during the season.
Most coaches have full-time jobs, big rosters and little time to research. The best coaching ideas are spread across clinics, podcasts and videos of mixed quality, and the rules change every year. We picked the clearest videos from college coaches and established coaching sources, put them in order, and added what you need: the real rules with links, common mistakes, ways to check progress and one thing to do at practice this week.
Who this is for — Built for high school and travel-ball head coaches and assistants. New coaches: start with Lessons 1, 3 and 9. Experienced coaches: start with Lesson 3 (rules change), then pick the area you want to improve.
10 lessons. Each takes about 25–40 minutes, including the videos.
Start free — Free preview: Lessons 1 and 2 are free. Lessons 3–10 are for members.
One lesson a week in the off-season is a good pace. Give Lesson 10 and the Hub’s Parents Library to families of players who want to play in college.
Check current rules — Indiana high school baseball follows the IHSAA By-Laws and the NFHS rules, and both are updated every year. Travel teams follow their event’s rules; we use MLB and USA Baseball’s Pitch Smart as the guide. Before every season, check current rules: IHSAA By-Laws, NFHS rules and Pitch Smart. This library is general guidance, not legal or medical advice.
Plan the work. Protect the arms. Teach the system. Be clear with people.
Start with Lesson 1.
About the videos: every video is linked on YouTube. We never download or re-host them, and we check every link before it goes in a lesson. If a video ever stops working, the guide on the page still works.
